Well.

The monumental battle is over.

"Queers Against Israel Apartheid" has been allowed to use their name in the Toronto Gay Pride Parade.

I'm sure they are all very happy.

Now they can assure that the middle east will not be infect by Israel's status as the "Gay Capital of the Middle East", being at the forefront of all countries in the Middle East regarding treatment of homosexual persons.

I'm sure they are very happy supporting Hamas and the current Palestinian state, where:

• Male homosexuality is illegal;
• There are no civil rights laws protecting homosexuals against discrimination;

Aside from "legal" rights, the treatment of homosexuals under Palestinian authority is abhorrent.  As reported in The Advocate:

The abusive treatment of gays by the Palestinian Authority--which does not differ much from the abusive treatment of gays in most other Arab and Muslim societies--is conclusively documented. Take just one story—in the May 2003 issue of Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide by Charity Crouse (who is described in the story as a “Jewish lesbian anti-occupation activist”). Tarek, a young Palestinian gay man suspected of homosexuality, was sentenced to a “reeducation” camp run by Muslim clerics under Palestinian Authority jurisdiction. He said that for a period of two months he was “subjected to beatings with belts, clubs, and was forced to sit on bottles which were inserted into my rectum. I was hanged by the hands, I was deprived of sleep, and when I finally did sleep, my limbs were tied to the floor.”

Sooooo....

"Queers Against Israeli Apartheid"..   yeah..  is there a more stupid group in existence?  Is there anyone else supporting a group who more clearly offends their own sensibilities, while attacking another group who supports them?

Is there a "Blacks Supporting the Klan" group out there?
