PC Alberta.. The "Mother Ship" is Starting to Look like a Ghost Ship

Well.

Doug Horner, the Deputy Premier and the Minister of Advanced Education has resigned his post to seek the leadership of the PC Party.

For those of you keeping score at home.. Premier of the Province - announced resignation..  Provincial Treasurer - announced resignation...  Deputy Premier and Minister of Advanced Education - announced resignation.

Which leads one to think..

Supposing you were, oh, I don't know, on a ship, say, oh, what the hell, let's call it the "Mother Ship".

Anyhoo.. you're out at sea, and a hurricane is brewing, it's an all hands on deck situation.  Toughest seas since the 1930's they say..  and while the waves are beginning to pound your vessel, well, we've got cannon shots coming across the bow from the S.S. Corporate Ethics International, trying to sink us because they say we're using dirty oil.

Meanwhile, in the sick bay, well, the sick and infirm are lined up a mile long because there is only one ship's doctor for every 500 passengers.

Now.

In the midst of this tempest, the Captain decides that he's had enough complaining, and he resigns his post.  Suddenly, the First Mate AND the Second Mate also resign - so that they can go and distract the rest of their crew from their duties to lobby for their support in electing a new captain.

Would you suddenly feel like the Professor and Mary Ann?
