Globe and Mail Tolerates No Comments on Liberal Crimes

Curious.

Having noticed the almost frantic glee with which the Harper haters have been expressing in the comments section of the Globe and Mail of late, I was curious this morning to see their take on yet another criminal conviction of a Liberal stealing money from Canadians.

How will they explain the growing line of Liberals sporting criminal convictions?

Well,no fun for me today on their account.

You see, the Globe and Mail has disabled comments "for legal reasons".

Really?

What's the worry? Defaming a CONVICTED Liberal thief?

No problem allowing thousands of slanderous comments regarding Conservatives.

I guess they have a certain ethical "flexibility" about these things.

yes, of course it's the Liberal way.
That's why ADSCAM will not be forgotten if there is an election next month.
Lest we forget.

media bias on display. I havn't seen this story anywhere but the Globe. MSM is giving the scum a pass from what I can see.

Soon...Quebecor Suns News will be on line and at that point the MSM will either get moving in a more open fashion, or get run over.

@EMac Please don't use a phrase that has a very specific and honourable significance on a topic like this. Leave the phrase to the veterans, who deserve it.

Uhm, he was kicked out of the Liberal party and out of caucus as soon as he was charged.

I don't like the Liberals but haw is he a "Liberal" if they properly reacted and booted him even before he was convicted?

Would the CPC do that? I believe Rahim Jaffer is still a party member is he not? Mulroney?

"after which Mr. Lavigne was thrown out of the Liberal caucus and suspended from legislative duties."

Unlike the current Conservative government (oops I mean Harper Government) the Conservative Senators that are currently charged get to keep their place in its caucus where they are revered as heroes.

And what other Liberal convictions are you referring to?

James Curran,Name it and they are guilty of it.Corruption,it has been proven over and over again.$40 million or 40 billion we are not sure how much really is the amount stolen by them.A false scandal a day is part of their heritage. The hatred that is on their faces in parliament is evident for all to see on question period. And these are men who want you to vote for them. And James if you are one of them, for gods sake tell them to pay their leadership bills & some of the millions from adscam, and send them some money to support them. But I digress, the Liberal name is the most hated name in the dictionary,so why are you asking about convictions??Is it because your LIBERAL CBC & Toronto rags wont give you that information??Just type corruption into google and you are sure to get the word LIBERAL popping up.

James, you I respect your opinions, even though we disagree.. My point isn't that we should champion Mulroney, but that perhaps it's more than just a little ironic that the LPC has taken the moral high ground.

And booting out a weasel AFTER he gets caught doesn't suggest for a moment that he wasn't "raised" in the Liberal home.
